The Picasso

Did y’all know Pablo Picasso was born in 1881 and died in 1973?! My man witnessed massive innovation during his trip on this floating rock in space. It’s no surprise his works are still celebrated throughout countless museums worldwide. Our challenge (but really pleasure) at this property was basing the interiors on a painting likely inspired by his Crystal Period. The owner purchased the three canvas artwork at a benefit for Veterans. Being a member of the armed forces himself, he didn’t want to trash it, but it also didn’t fit the aesthetic (nor the size) of his new property. It was effortless finding fun, bold, Picasso prints to fit this space while bringing in complimentary modern furniture and decor. If I could make $10k appear out of thin air just to fill the space even more, I would have! A lot of airbnb clients simply don’t have the extra funds AND that’s totally OK - we made this ish work on a t h i n budget. My favorite item in the rental property is the tiny sign next to the paining. It simply states “please don’t touch this” with a QR code linking to MC Hammer’s Don’t Touch This! With runner up going to the largest chalkboard wall I’ve ever painted…
